Titre: Tight budget, can a front only film job still protect my car?
Posté par: torinlane le Oct 15, 2026, 01:34 AM
I am a junior engineer on a modest salary, and my Hyundai Tucson is the first car I bought with my own money. It is only eight months old, and I hate seeing it collect chips on the bonnet and bumper from my daily drive across Abu Dhabi. Every shop I called gave me a price for the full car, and the numbers made my stomach drop. A coworker told me I do not need the full car and that the front is where most of the damage happens, so I started looking for Affordable partial PPF for front-end protection in Abu Dhabi (https://paintprotectionfilm.ae/full-car-ppf-vs-partial-ppf). The problem is that every page said cheap and best at the same time, and I could not tell what is real. My worry is that a low price means thin film, a rushed job or no warranty. So I want to ask people who stayed on a budget. How much did a front only job cost you, and what was included, like the bonnet, bumper, mirrors, headlights and door edges? Is it smart to cover just the bonnet and bumper first and add more later? How do I tell a fair low price from a suspiciously low one? Does a cheaper job still come with a written warranty, and what should it say? I also wonder about the film brand. Do shops use the same brand at every price, or do they swap in a cheaper one for smaller packages? And how long does the film last if I wash the car every week and park outside in the sun? If you did a front only job on a small budget, please tell me what you paid, how it looks now, and if you would do it the same way again. Easy answers help me most.
